How Pawport Works

The Smart Pet Door easily retrofits over virtually any existing pet door and requires no professional installation. For homes without an existing pet door, Pawport also offers complete systems that install securely into any wall, door, or glass panel. Once installed, the Pawport Smart Pet Door pairs with a lightweight, waterproof Smart Pet Tag worn on the pet’s collar. The tag automatically triggers the door to open when the pet is nearby and moving, allowing only the appropriate pet to enter or exit the home and supporting curfew scheduling and activity tracking.

All of this is managed through the Pawport app, which enables remote control, curfew, and scheduling features, voice control via Alexa, Siri, or Google, pet-specific tracking and usage data, and more. With three sizes available, Pawport accommodates pets of virtually any height and weight.

• Pet Curfew and Weather Detection Settings: Through the Pawport app, users can customize their pet’s schedules to make sure they are kept inside at night and during unfavorable weather, including the ability to automatically lock when rain and/or lightning is detected in the user’s immediate area.
• Pet Tracking Insights: Users can monitor their pet’s activity with notifications that track when their pets go inside and outside, and can access data insights in the app, such as the total number of times outside, duration of each outside session, general pet activity and resting time, and other pet usage information and metrics.
• Safety and Peace of Mind: Pawport opens and closes safely and is designed to prevent pinching or harming any pet. In addition, the system is equipped with delicate sensitivity gauges that prevent the doors from closing on a pet as they enter or exit the home. Pawport also offers child-safety protection by allowing users to disable the on-device controls so children cannot manually open the door. • LED Light Customization: The Pawport app allows homeowners to directly control the color and brightness of the built-in LED lights on their indoor Pawport Smart Pet Door and allows them to schedule the light on/off times to match their preferences. The premium Pawport adjustable Collar is designed to place the Smart Pet Tag in the optimal position for the Smart Pet Door while maintaining an in-line aesthetic that minimizes thickness for maximum pet comfort.
